Hello and welcome!

I'm so excited that you've found me here!

A little more about me ...

I love reading, writing, time with friends and family and chocolate.  Lots of chocolate!  I also enjoy the outdoors – kayaking, hiking, boating, water skiing (and even after two kids, I still have my skiing mojo!) :)

I’m fortunate to live in the mountains surrounded by dams and the sea so I get to spend a lot of time doing what I love – with the people I love.

I adore travelling anywhere and everywhere.  Whether it’s camping, an African road trip winging it with my hubby and kids, or a luxurious hotel holiday abroad – as long as it’s clean and without spiders - I’m always keen and ready!  Fortunately, my laptop and stories are able to travel wherever I go.

I’m a huge believer in romance and soul mates – and not just because I’m a romance author either!  I married my childhood sweetheart.  Two precious, incredible children, an adorable Golden Retriever and 22 years of fun later  = one big, epic adventure!

A little more about my writing ...

Writing has been my escape and passion since the age of twelve years old. I love reading and writing everything romance - paranormal, suspense, contemporary.  I spent years writing, devouring books, and scouring the internet for articles that would help me improve my craft.  (A ton of thanks to all the authors for blogging their knowledge - I learnt SO much from them!)

I wrote the first book in my Keepers trilogy and contacted HarperImpulse, a division of HarperCollins.  Three weeks later, I received The Call.  Best. Day. Ever.  :)  That moment is proof that dreams and wishes DO come true.

Since signing a three (later four) book deal with HarperImpulse, as well as a single book deal with The Wild Rose Press for my romantic suspense book, Cat Got Your Tongue?, it's been a crazy, exciting, challenging whirlwind ride.  But I love it and I’m thrilled to have made the career shift into writing full time (along with being a mom to two busy, AMAZING kiddies!).

BUT I couldn't do this without the support of my lovely family, friends, my editorial team, bloggers and of course, my awesome readers.  A huge thank you for your support, enthusiasm and love for my books.  I write for you.  Always.

I love to hear from my readers so please get in touch via my contacts page.

Thanks for stopping by!

Rae Rivers
